Hi Glenn,
When you remove the left arm from the awning, be careful as the
windup spring is on that side. Hold the Zip Dee round end that
attaches to tube verryy tightly and slowly unwind it. If it gets away
from you, it spins very fast. Right one, no problem, no spring
tension.
Take tube to bench and drill out rivets. Hard part is finding the
existing holes with new material. I could feel them thru material.
When ready to reattach, take (my choice)10 turns to wind up spring.
If not tight enough for you, can take more, but 10 turns seemed to
work for me.
