Hydraulic hose splices
One of my leveler hoses has a split very close to the fitting at the
jack. I bought a new hose from HWH, and set out to replace it. The problem, though, is that the other end of the hose at the actuator is unaccessible for removal. The other three leveler hoses are easily accessed, but the one I need is blocked out by a frame member...typical Murphy's law. Attempting to disassemble this entire area so I can get to the fitting is more project than I want to undertake, so I am wondering if there is some way I could leave the existing hose attached at that end, cut it at a more accessible spot, and then somehow splice in the new hose to the remaining old piece with some sort of fitting. Anyone think this is at all possible? Thanks Scott Forman 86 PT38 Memphis |
