Air pedestals for seats

Look for a low profile air seat base. I had such a part in a Chevy van, powered
with a small CO2 bottle with a regulator of course. It was a Bostrom piece.
Installing such a part would require some fabricating to work in your FC. The
round pipes are welded to a square base that is bolted to the bus floor with
nuts and bolts. A two man job to remove probably. An alternative would be to
remove the base entirely and install a complete air seat assy. like in a truck.
I went this way in my toter home, used a pair of Bostrom Talledega leather
covered seats. Purchased new, they were a grand each. I'm sure you could find
equivilent pieces in a truck dismantling yard at a greatly reduced price. The
air seats are the answer if comfort is an issue in your FC.

I am finishing up my more major projects on "The Big Napper". I did
replace the captains chairs and I think I would like to put air
pedestals in the coach. This bus has the round pipes under the
chairs and I assume they are welded (not bolted) in place. Space is
pretty tight around the dog house and I am looking for direction as
to what air pedestal to use and how to go about this. It would be
nice not to have to cut out the existing supports but I am assuming
that would be the first thing needed. Any info appreciated.
