You are correct that this should be attended to immediately. The
crack-fault could lead to a catastrophic wheel failure. (You think a
blowout can mess up body work -- you don't want to even think what a
wheel failure might do.)

Often the source of the cracks is over-torque of the lug nuts.

You'll need to contact the wheel manufacturer to see if it is
advisable to be repaired. It may depend on the actual size of the
crack. Ask the manufacturer to refer you to a repair station, if it's
possible to repair the crack. These are highly critical safety issues
and you don't want a sub-par repair that may quickly fail again.
