Overhead load center questions
I'm trying to get my rear camera working. It worked when I picked up
my coach in April. In the overhead load center (above the driver) is a row of circuit breakers whose power is provided by an adjacent solenoid. This solenoid is energised by turning on the ignition key. These breaker are for the dash A/C controls, rear camera trigger, and various indicator lights. The solenoid is energised by the key. However, turning the key off does not release it. It doesn't realeas untill the master power switch is turned off. Are these supposed to be self latching solenoids? I wouldn't think so. Otherwise, too many things stay enabled even though the key is off. By the way, I did find the camera problem. A broken wire in the rear overhead. Have yet to solder it - on my way to do it now.
