Good evening to everyone:

First, I would like to thank all whom me in their prayers. And the phone
calls to my self and Charolette.

Yes, I am home though I fear the worst is yet to come from this ordeal. I
am black and blue from under the armpit to almost center chest and from
just under the collar bone to under the pec.

Went into surgery at 11:30 yesterday morning, then I remember waking up for
a few semi coherent moments at around 1:15 PM or so, only to find that the
Dr was telling me I had to go back into surgery as one of the leads of the
de-fib unit had worked loose. As I was still semi under the influence of
what ever drug, I mumbled something about,,,, ok bring on the dancing
girls, this I found out later of course. So back into surgery and a second
dose of knock me out stuff. I came to in recovery around 4:30 PM ish and
was offered sips of 7 up and ice chips, which of course sounded good since
I had not eaten since 7PM the night before. Well, you guessed it, two doses
of knock me out stuff brought that sips right back up,,,, yuuuuk and it
sure felt like someone had walked around on my left breast with hob nail
boots, that is when I started feeling of course.

Anyway, the walking 1 mile a day came in handy. After I got to my room and
sobered up a little, and after a couple of phone calls in coming ( sorry if
I did not make too much sense ) I went for a walk, with a nurse tagging
along. So the rest of the night altered between becoming ill once more,
then sleep then up for a walk. The walks were my thing mainly because those
hospital beds are hard on the,,, umm,,, behind

So it is back to the Dr office tomorrow to have the dressing changed, more
xrays to be sure the "ground" is hooked up.

What an ordeal,,,, bright side of this,,, 1. I am still breathing, 2. All
the Birder friends sending their thoughts and prayers.

It feels like I have 1 1/2 pounds of metal in my chest! LOL,,, hmmm wonder
if I had the right cables if I could jump start my coach.

Charolette sends her deepest appreciation as do I.

Safe travels,
