8v92 won't start update

The 8V92's and 6V92's don't have a booster pump and the fuel pump IS
NOT self-priming. I just replaced my fuel pump last month and replaced
the hoses to the filters. Despite pre-filling the racor, spin-on and
the fuel line between them, the new pump would not pull fuel up from
the spin-on filter assembly. You have to "back-fill" the fuel line
from the head of the spin-on filter assembly to the fuel pump in order
to prime it. My guess is that one of the lines on yours is cracked and
letting air seep into the fuel line between the pump and spin-on
filter assembly. Those hoses are easy to replace, just remember to be
exceptionally careful about not getting any contaminants into them
when you re-attach the new hoses.
