Trojan T-105
John, I have looked into the T-125's several times in the past years and have
determined, at least for my purposes, that they just aren't cost effective. The cost per ah for the T-105 is the best deal I can find in a Trojan battery, even when comparing with the L-16. Now, if cost isn't an issue and/or one needs more ah and doesn't have the space to add enough T-105 batteries to meet the requirements, then I definitely would consider the T-125's or ever the L-16's. Just to give you an idea of our arrangement - we have 6, T-105 batteries and they are very adequate for our needs. We boon-dock for 5 months every winter. There are 5 solar panels on the roof (totaling about 460 watts and actually that's too many). We use the generator whenever ac power is needed for something that the inverter can't handle (i.e. air conditioners.) Off topic but related, I discovered a 4 amp, or so, draw that was not needed and will disconnect it when we will be boon-docking. That should make it even better than the last few years. The draw was the Sporlan Summer valve (bottom Sporlan valve) in the engine compartment. As originally wired by BB, that valve stays on when you are parked. I have no idea why it was that way. You always hear of "phantom" currents in our birds and this is the biggest single draw I have found. After turning the "A/T" switch off, the spot lights switch to left position and disconnecting a few relays that were always on and no longer needed, I think that I have reduced the phantom current to near zero. If you are replacing your batteries and plan on staying with the T-105, take a look at the T-125 instead. Its the same foot print, fits in an FC easily and has greater AH ratings.....
