Dan:

The sender is located to the rear of the bum out at the rear of the dog
house on my '85. I had to repair the wire going to the sender once. Also
the face plate on the gauge will move and bind the needle in the gauge. My
sender is directly located in the top of the turbo exhaust piping screwed
into the top of the pipe.
