Installing hard flooring in the galley
Thanks all who replied. We used a product like Liquid Nails and also used a
brad nailer to keep the bamboo in place till the glue cured. This system worked well so we will see how it holds up. Believe it or not, the hardest part was the quarter round and it's little tiny pieces. Looks good. Dick Hayden - '87 PT 38 - Lake Stevens, WA ----- Original Message ----- From: erniecarpet@... If you are gluing it down, just spread enough adhesive that you can install in about 15 minutes. Once that stuff gets a tack to it, you can rest asssured, that your job will be a nightmare. I dry fit and cut the material first- especially around the cabinets. Makes life easier. If you are using the floating method- take your time and leave a little gap under the cabinets for expansion/contraction. Any morehelp you need, just ask. Oh- and don't forget to get the 10,000 staples up.~ Ernie Ekberg 83PT40 Livingston, Mt ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com<http://www.aol.com/> [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
