Troubleshooting Bendix Fast Idle/Cruise Control on 89 35FC 3208 ATAAC
I could be wrong but, I don't think that is part of my system. At least
according to the Bendix manual. Mine has a sensor on the tranny that seemed to
be ok but I'm not sure since that is the last I haven't checked completely. I
will need to jack both rear drivers off the ground to check it properly. That's
not easy while I'm on the road.

Have you checked your speedometer gear inside the rear wheel? My
cruise control stopped working intermittently and then finally wouldn't
work at all. My fast idle would work fine. But somewhere along the
line my speedometer stopped working. As it turned out it was the
speedometer gear needed replacing. Everything works fine now...
