I doubt that a propane conversion would be easy or cheap. The oil
(diesel) burner is very different than how a gas appliance would be designed, so it would probably take a fair amount of engineering to get the job done. By the time you got it converted, LP gas would probably go up significantly in price anyway. Besides, I kind of like having a 300 gallon tank of heater fuel....
