Enjoyable Fall mornings and clouds
Hi Ralph and Charolette:

It is so good to have you waxing poetically again and knowing that you are on
the mend. We are enjoying a few days in sunny Phoenix, AZ, having the pesky gen
set problem fixed and the bedroom air fixed. We are going to see some friends
(SOB) that we met at Carson and visit with them a couple of days before heading
for Austin, TX. Will see you two at the Lone Star Holiday Rally and be able meet
many more forum members.

Good morning everyone:

Was sitting out side this morning, on the back porch having coffee and
enjoying the coolness of Fall season temperatures. Leaves are turning and
starting to fall and the morning sky seems a stark contrast of pretty hues
of blue mixed with the puff of clouds floating majestically by.

Remember when we were kids, or maybe even now we used to lay on our
backs in a field or just in the yards, looking up at those billowy puffs
and picking shapes out that looked like horses, pirate ships or maybe even
a large pumpkin pulled by horses complete with glass slippers. Well it
brought a smile to this old war horse.

Sitting there after a fill up of coffee in that trusty old Wanderlodge
coffee cup, I spied a set off clouds that reminded me of images I had
mentally formed of the Crusades to the Holy Land, then thinking how, though
ancient, those times were not so different from todays world of traveling.
There they are, on a trec across strange lands, sharing hazards of travel
like a horse throwing a shoe having enough oats for the feeding of those steadfast beasts on diesel> or even the simplest of things like sharing a camp fire or
having a pot luck dinner or even having a cup of coffee or tea as they
watched the sun rise and wonder what the days travel will bring in the way
of adventures on this day.

So with a smile on my lips and this thought going through the old grey
haired pate the wagons of a bygone era, were
built to withstand the harshest of rigors, carry the needs of sustaining
it's patrons providing cover from harm in strange surrounds and become a
place of meeting from time to time where tails of despair and glory are
shared over the flickering campfires. Yes, not so much has changed really.
The same principals are still at work in this day as it was back then.

So as I sip the remains of coffee this morning, and thinking of all that
are making the sojourn to Perry Ga, travels be safe and not fraught with peril nor famine. And the oats and
fodder be plentiful to fuel those giant beasts of burden.

<soft smiles>

Safe travels,
