Tire temps
Scott:
I don't know what would be too high. I always check my tire temps when I stop. But I have noticed a big difference in the temp depending on the ambient temp, and latitude. Living in the south, our road temps are much higher in the summer. The max that I have seen in my 22R12.5 XZE Michelins is 124 degrees, measured on the tread, center rib. Same tire in Illinois, with cooler temp outside is 100 degrees. This is running at 67 MPH , tire pressue 110 front , 100 drive, and 90 tag pressures. I use the IR thermometer to check the temp at the same place at each tire when I stop. I am just looking for a significant change between the tires. Higher temp at one tire location may mean lower pressure, or an unevenly loaded coach. Hope this helps answer your question a little William Jensen 1993 PT40 WBWL "Maudi" Deerfield Beach, Florida |
