Aqua Hot fuel consumption (was Re: dry camping)
Pete et all,
I have seen erroneous postings about the Aqua Hot numerous times pertaining to fuel usage. The Aqua Hot under 100% duty cycle (running 24 hrs a day) will ONLY burn 3 gals a day, NOT 1/2 gal an hour like a generator. BUT, since it couldn't possibly run that much, you really shouldn't give any thought to fuel consumption. I have had an Aqua Hot in my last two coaches and NEVER winterize, only use the AH. Last winter, when I didn't use the coach for 3 months (an all time first for me LOL) I used 100 gals of diesel over 90 days of use with temps between 10-30 degrees. Don't just take my word for it, call them and ask for yourself, but it *really* doesn't use much fuel.
