Wide body exhuast removal
Hi all:
Anyone done their own removal and reinstall of exhaust stack in the chase of a WB coach? I have a 92WB40. I have removed the top tip and the top bracket holding the top of the muffler to the chase. There is another similar bracket at the bottom of the muffler, which is about 16" up from the bottom of the chase. Anyone have any idea how to remove these bolts. Also, how about loosening the clamp on the pipe. I could use a long extension on the bottom, but what happens when the top nuts start turning. It is at least 4 feet down from the top of the chase. All the elbows are rusted together where they join other pipes. BB put the wrong kind of tip on top and the rain has gotten in and rusted everything. The muffler itself looks pretty good. I'd love to have a conversation with the *#!*) that designed this install. Any suggestions? R.E. (Ron) Marabito, Dallas, tX 92WB40 |
