Fuel Pump Leak - 12.5 K Perkins Generator
Dear Friends:
On my roadtrip last summer, I discovered a fuel leak under my 12.5K Perkins gen set. I traced the leak to the fuel pump on the geny. There must be positive fuel pressure, because the leak developed with the generator off! I'm not sure how much fuel I lost, but I plugged the line, and have not used the generator since. I actually bought a little Honda 2,000 watt generator that I have been using to charge up the batteries - it even heats the water in my hot water heater. And it hardly uses any fuel! I'm hoping to replace the Perkins/Kohler fuel pump in the next few weeks. I'm driving my coach to Punxsutawney, PA for Ground Hogs' Day. I contacted Nixon Power Systems and provided them with the numbers on the Geny. However, they are still having trouble identifying what generator I have. Might anybody know the part #s for the Perkins/Kohler fuel pump? Also, might anybody know where I could get a copy of an owners or parts manual for the geny? I bought my coach with a full box of Bluebird documents, however, it included nothing for the generator. Thanks everyone! Anybody else going to Punxsutawney?
