New Bird look
Macy, I think you and the CCW/Coachworks staff did a remarkable job in getting the 2009 prototype out the door in such a short time.

I will say, the countdown clock on the 'legacy' web site _did_ create an anticipation that photos of the new WL would appear after the countdown ended. No photos = some disappointment. I've got to admit, that when I visited the legacy site on the 17th (having been at MacWorld SF on the 16th), I was surprised to not see any photos... So, let's just call it a marketing goof and leave it at that. The last-minute preparations are no surprise and the focus on being ready for the official introduction surely played a role in not realizing the expectations you may have raised on your web site. Appropriate quality professional photos take time -- and obviously the time wasn't available.

The coach itself is beautiful -- and the craftsmanship reflected in the vehicle is outstanding. You and the whole team are to be congratulated for bringing it all together.

I look forward to seeing the professional photos on the web site when they're available... (No hard feelings on my part.)

My best to you and the Coachworks team,
Pete Masterson

John, do you feel exploited in anyway? If you do my friend I sincerely apologize. There was no intend or desire to do so. We worked until 2:00 AM Monday morning to get the coach finished detailed and into the show. Therefore, we ran out of time to get finished pictures to have ready to post to the website.

This was a huge momentous event for us, the new Blue Bird brings back the quality, workmanship, and attention to detail that made the Wanderlodge the legend that it is. This was a huge day for us and many hundreds of our friends turned out to see the unit and congratulate us and wish us well.

I am somewhat taken aback that some have elected to attack us over the lack of pictures and updates on the website at precisely 4:00 PM on the 16th without knowing all the facts or even asking what the facts were before unleashing.

I am overwhelmed by pride and gratitude for the hardworking craftsmen, technicians, engineers, and designers who labored against all odds, many times for 26 or even 36 hours at a time without sleep to bring our new Wanderlodge to life and make it available for the show. They have my undying gratitude, respect and admiration.

I am sorry that through all of these extraordinary efforts and against all odds and in the midst of getting this spectacular coach to the show, we ran out of time to take photos and that therefore our success didn’t include the timely update of our website.
