Detroit 6V92 High Idle
Hi everybody. I been here a long time but just read, generally. Been
runnin' Birds since '94, on our 3rd now, an '83 PT35 that we've had for a little over 11 years. My high idle doesn't seem to want to kick in when I throw the switch. It over-rides the foot throttle, as normal, but only increases rpm by maybe 50. Definitely not normal. When High Idle is off the foot throttle seems normal. Since I live in NV I never use the cruise and, as far as I know, all of the original parts are still in the system. Could that be part of the problem?
