Detroit 6V92 High Idle
Dennis, I am not positive, it may have been a BB add on to the 6 and 8 v's.
The Allen Air metered air valve that the high idle switch activates is normally closed electrically held open and send metered air to that transducer/cylinder. I know you can't miss it when you look to the left of center up on the frontish side going into an enclosed part of the engine.
