Summer/winter switch

Summer/winter switch
Bob,
In our coach, one sporlan valve is hot all the time...with or without the key on.

Take your 12V test light and test for voltage at each (two) sporlan valve. If voltage is present at one valve and that valve is not warm to the touch, I'd suspect the sporlan valve is bad.

If no 12V present at the valves, check the summer/winter switch(s) to be sure they have 12V in and 12V out. If 12V on one side of the switch and not the other would tell me the switch is bad. This assume the switch(s) are in the on position.

No 12V present on either side of the S/W switch could mean there are fuses or circuit breakers somewhere that may have failed. I'm not familiar with your coach wiring. Do you have the wiring diagrams? If not, maybe someone with chime in with the location of the breakers or fuses.

Please keep us posted.

Good luck.

Hi,

My front heat stopped working..just blows out cold air.

Anybody tell me what fuse area to look in?

Someone at the Q rally said the sporlan valves in rear could be the

problem. Seems one of them should be hot at all times as voltage is on

either the Summer or Winter side.

Both of mine are cold. Sould I have the key on to make one of them hot?

Seems like if they are part of the phantom load one should be warm at

all times.

Wife wants feet heat out of the dash when we take off again in a couple

of months.

Are the kits hard to install in the back and I wonder if I should just

buy a complete valve instead of kit.

Thanks.
