Water pump
I have never chased the plumbing down and do not have a schematic for that part of the water system.
Consensus is that the water goes in circles with the switch in the fill position and the pump switch on. In that case the water must be running through the sporlan valve and back toward the pressure regulator also which apparently has a check valve to prevent water from squirting out the side of the bus assuming the shore water is disconnected, because nothing pressurizes. Is this correct? If shore water is filling the tank and the pump is running the pump is fighting against incoming shore water???? As well there must be another check valve in the pump output line to prevent back flow through the pump while filling the tank with the pump switch off.?????
If so, no one has to be concerned with trashing a pump because it is always wet????? I have a Jabsco which can be run dry without any problems. Can a Surflo be run dry without issues?
Thanks in advance for the
info.

Actually the pump is pumping, just in a circle from the pump back to the tank.

One other thing to make sure it is clear how mine operates. If after filling the tank, turning off the water and disconnecting and storing the water hose you forget to place the fill switch in the off position, the pump will run and not pump water. I did that once and thought I had a bad pump until I figured it out. It made me feel a little dumb in front of the wife. She needed to use the head on the road.

Does any one know an answer to this question. I have a part
ordered
for my Shur-Flo water pump & while waiting for it I took the pump out
& tied the in & out side of the water lines of the pump together & I
am on city water right now. After I fill my water tank I put the
switch in the position that you get water at the facet's if the pump
is turned on or it is on city water. Question? Does the water pump
being turned on open & close the sporlan valve or what control's the
valve?
