Mounting things to the ceiling
Ryan, I put a co2 detector above my bed (center queen). You should be able to use a half inch wood screw with out damaging the metal. If you did not want to put screw holes in the ceiling vinyl you could try velcro, but this would possibly make the vinyl sag...my factory installed gas detector is installed in the base of my dinette.
