LXI Recall

I guess what I was referring to is the statement in the FMCA

magazine to the effect that dealers will afix "new labels stating

the weight limits for each of the three front storage bays". The

official NHTSA recall notice doesn't explicitly mention the cargo

bay weight limits but it does mention a label stating weight limits.

This label may simply say 17000# or it may also spec out the

cargo bay limits. It's unclear. Maybe FMCA has it wrong.

If I move into a 450, I'd like to know if the CCC is greatly reduced

due to the recall. I'm not aware of any pre-recall limitation of the

weight per cargo bay or the distribution of weight, other than not

to exceed the axle rating. Please let me know if this exists.

loading is already specified somewhere. Either in the bays or in the

vehicle manual. After the modifications, the specifications will be

changed.
