Testing compressor?
Hi folks,
Update on this: Shop spent a few hours with the coach yesterday. Compressor is failing, just isn't putting out anywhere near what it should be and is discharging oil into the air tanks. They've ordered me a remanufactured unit ($260 - a lot cheaper than I expected; a shop down the street wanted over $1200 for one! Anything I should worry about?) and will be installing it when it arrives next week. I'm wondering if I should try to install this myself? Is the job any more difficult than replacing an alternator? If it's fairly straightforward I may just pick it up from them and save myself a few hundred bucks in labor. Thanks to everyone for your help. -Ryan '86 PT-40 8V92 On Thu, Mar 13, 2008 at 8:41 AM, Don Bradner > > > > > > > Thanks for the tips.
