Actually, most of the car rental services will come an pick you up (or some such arrangement). I rented a car from Budget when I had my toad worked on at a shop in Texas. They picked me up at the shop, drove me to their office (3 blocks away) where we did the paperwork. Then I was off with the rental car.
I think I heard that there are tour vans from the gateway towns that go through the park, too. Of course, the schedule is the tour company's, but it might be another way to handle the situation.
