Rust!!!

You can paint rust. once you cut off the air or water comming into
contact with the bare metal, it will stop rusting.I tried all the
paints with my hydroseeder tanks and found, A good coat of brushed
on exterior latex house paint works the best and it is easy to light
sand blast off (only need to reprep the failed re-rusted areas) for
a recoat in 5-10 years. I noticed that a little rust seems to help
hold the house paint on. Hard gloss paints like Imron and the like
crack open and water can restart the oxidation. The expensive paints
are too hard to reprep off for repainting.
