recall

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for your input. I don't mean to single you out regarding the

lack of info, and I very much appreciate whatever light you can

shed on the modifications. Is it possible to post the pictures somewhere

for us to see?

Thanks,

David Brady, (who's growing family may require more slides)

David, I was told it was not a problem in the rear and
that also their was an improvement to the leveling air system to allow
for the extra weight in that area. I talked with other owner at the
factory and was also sent pictures of the new modification. That owner
was there because he did not want it done, same as me. Afterthat
conversation, and an additional conversation with Macy, I decided to go
ahead. The work is being done on the factory line and not in the
service shop. From the pictures the work looked first class. Don't
know if this answers your question, but I now feel comfortable with the
change.

I guess this begs the question, what does moving the
generator do to

the rear axle weight, especially on the side that the genny is mounted?

I sure wish that 450 owners would be more vocal in what changes are

being made to their coaches to satisfy the front axle recall, or any
other

recall. This info is of great interest to those of us considering
purchasing

a 450.

Thanks,

Mike, thanks for the response. Since my post I have
received pictures of what they are doing. Looks first class. I was
concerned about moving the generator. I have agreed to go ahead.

[WanderlodgeForum] Re:recall
I was at Ft. Valley just
prior to Maxton. They were in the middle of one genset move to the
left rear bay, in front of the drive axle.
Alan Barbee said that
the genset would only be moved if the unit was overweight after all
other remedies were tried first.
The old genset
compartment would be available to open storage of items up to a max of
150#. This would not be an enclosed space.
