Rv Condo Lots??? SOLD
Thanks for all the input on the RV Condo Lots.
I did reserve a Super Lot and a dock at Holiday Cove RV Resort in Cortez FL. http://holidaycoverv.com/florida-rv-lots-for-sale.htm I requested the developer to combine two lots to make a pull thru and maintain the ability to use/rent the Super Lot as two individual lots, they agreed and threw in a larger patio and a full length drive for the coach and trailer. As an added incentive they reduced the price of the docks by 40% to anyone who is buying one of only 4 available pull thru lots that will accommodate coaches with trailers/stackers. This also reduced the total number of lots offered from 97 to 94; the park originally had 112 lots in its old layout. They also have the lowest HOA fees I found $124.00 a month with a dock fee of $14.00 a month for maintenance. The docks are private and inaccessible to none dock owners In my research I discovered that pull thru lots rented more often than other lot types, All of the lots until now were either pull in or back in, an added advantage in the rental area, hopefully. If you're interested in a smaller park, with what falls into the Location, Location, Location category. You can pull your coach up under the shade trees on the beach and in just a few short steps you're in the Gulf of Mexico. Can you say location, location, location? The lots in general are ample, they are not the biggest you can find, but they are reasonably priced for what you get and with the exceptions of Bluewater and Playa del Rio, (smaller lots at a higher price, lots of sand from the beach, but their docks are cheaper and accommodate larger boats up to 40'. http://www.playadelrio.com/Documents/cur...g_1_08.pdf It's as close to salt water you can get in FLA. There are a few lots in Destin for sale but Destin really has been over developed. Just a few personal responses; Pete, I wouldn't count on the baby boomers for much of anything other than they are going to spend a lot of money somewhere. Wallace, my wife agrees with you. David, I don't like to rent, or borrow, so buy it is, unless of course the CPA has a better idea. Leroy, your right, you only get what you pay for, it's got the best bang for the buck. Dang there one of the catch phrases. Hank, we got a stop over spot for you in Tennessee or Florida Roger, the first time I heard of Bluewater the lots were under 100K, and at the time we were living hand to mouth. Grand Daddy used to say it isn't a good deal unless you got money in your pocket. Oh yes on the weather. Hurricanes, Hurricane, Hurricanes. What's to lose? A cement pad and an electric post. Yes, this park is in a flood zone. But I hadn't planned on hanging around for that event anyway. Besides anything I bring to Florida is on wheels. Hurricanes would be the classic example, but there are others. Thanks for the input group. It was helpful. Kurt Horvath 95 PT-42 WLWB Fayetteville TN |
