Cost of BirdBirds and Fuel
Hi all
Just to restate some facts; 2500 miles ,40 days,7mpg=$41.25 PER DAY FOR FUEL. I'm not selling!! Mario 1985fc35 -- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, dru penland > > I hear it ALL the time. You must have money. How can yu afford to travel around in that old bus. For those who really want to know, I can show. My trips turn out 1/2 to 2/3 what my peers pay, traveling in the subcompact and lodging at Motel 6 and I'm having a hell of a lot more fun parked under a tree with a happy family that has a familiar place to sleep at night. With three roof A/C' s and hard sides to keep the bears out, I wish I was a full timer already! > > On the flats at 10 to 11 mpg and climbing the rockies at 7.3. Not to bad for a bought and paid for ride. I'm afraid she'll out live diesel supply...it will still make a good stationary home, when that happens, NEVER! > > Gregory OConnor > Bill's beer is 1/2 full, well said. go 1/2 the distance and stay > twice as long. Getting the bus there is the changed cost variable.
