Air Step Diagram
I battled with my air step for a year....I know it sounds elementary, but the culprit was simply a bad ground wire at the step itself. I relocated the ground point (the nearby genset solenoid), and the step started working fine. I still can't figure why the original ground isn't grounding (??). (this was after I replaced all air step relays, removed the safety strip, and re-worked the micro switches...all of which wasn't needed).
Just a thought...
