UltraGuard Rock shield
After finishing up my project of "toad" connection and "toad" wiring I
have moved on. Latest project, a big ole mud flap on the back of the bus. I've got it on but I have a question about my instillation. The mud flap is connected to the bus by a piece of angle iron. Nothing in the directions discussed attaching this to the bus. I drilled up thru the lower edge of the bumper and put a couple 1/4 inch bolts thru the angle iron which certainly did the job. My concern is that this thing is certainly going to drag from time to time and I am concerned that it is attached too firmly to the bus. I think it should have more freedom to swing then the way I have it attached now. So my question is how have you fellows fastened these things to your coaches? It's about three inches off the road and I have a couple spots that I know its going to drag over. I was considering getting something like a hook and just hooking that thru the holes in the bumper, but then that would possibly allow it to get off the bus. Idea's appreciated.
