We lived is San Diego for 5 years, we know how bad it is to cross the border. Our intention is to fill up in Mexicali or El Centroand not Tijuana. We will buy the Mexican Insurance before we cross into Mexico.

Are you in the LA or San Diego area?

If you do go, be CERTIAN to buy Insurance before you cross the
border. Our insurance may be good down there, but the Mexicans do
recognize US Insurance policies. In the event of an accident, you
may be held until everything is settled, whether you are at fault or
not..Tijuana jails are not that nice anyway..
