Black Valves

Hi Paul: Give Stephen Birtles a Call...You can replace those Dupree
paddles on the valves for < $20 each. This is a no brainer; the
paddles have probably swelled and become hardened because of age and
the harsh effect of the operating environment. Lubricate the new
paddles with teflon grease and clean the paddle seating surface
during reassembly. The two phillips head screws can be removed with
a long phillips head screwdriver or try a phillips head bit on a 1/4"
drive extension and 1/4" ratchet.

If you plan on going to Maxton this fall, I'll help you do this
project...Stephen B sold me two paddles recently and my valves now
operate smoothly (with air or manually) and more importantly, no more
leaks.
