Landing light trim - 90 SP36
The problem isn't attaching them to the coach, the problem is that
there are 4 studs protruding from the backside of the plates to which channel brackets get attached. When the nuts on the studs are tightened, the brackets push the light into the opening and at the same time hold the plate firmly against the coach. --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Leroy Eckert > > Are they 1.5" wide painted rectangular close out plates? If so and you cannot find new ones you should be able to attach then with NP-1 caulk. If the plate actually holds the light housing you may need to mount the light housing with counter sink screws then attach the panel and hope never to change the lights again. I mounted every piece of polished stainless on my coach with NP-1 and Weldwood Contact cement.. It's been there 3 years and has not moved. > Just a thought. > Leroy Eckert > 1990 WB-40 Smoke N Mirrors > Dahlonega, GA > Royale Conversion > > --- On Mon, 8/25/08, williamcharrison > From: williamcharrison > Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Landing light trim - 90 SP36 > To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com > Date: Monday, August 25, 2008, 12:14 PM > > > > > > > > > > > > I purchased some new Hella landing lights and when I tried to > > unbolt the brackets that hold the lights in place, 5 of the > > alum studs broke off.
