I would not attempt that highway in the coach. I was in the Cherokee Asheville area a couple of weeks ago to scope out where to take the bus for a weekend. It ain't easy to get there from here. Even here in the NE GA mountains there are beautiful State and Corp of Engineers parks some of which have a few spots to fit the bus. The roads are adequate but many have long steep hairpin pulls with virtually no shoulders or no guard rails and steep down slopes which if you went down one it would ruin the whole day. It would also take awhile for someone to find you. I do drive them but rarely exceed 40 mph and not at night.. You do not want to take 441 from Cherokee to Gatlinburg in the coach either. It is a beautiful area and worth the trip. A word of caution. If you follow the GPS in these parts it can put you on a dirt road or a thin secondary road in the forest with no place to turn around. The old map way is helpful 'round here.
