ATTENTION ALL PT-42 OWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fred,
In a perfect world the manufacture would have this information readily and easily assessable to their clientele. BB is out of the private coach market and CCW is now the Mfg. They are doing a great job in maintaining a good relationship with past owners and clients. Most notably the front end recall on the 450 series coaches. It wasn't their mistake but they have stepped up to the plate and are fixing the problem. That is a sign of a company looking towards the future. In the case of these coach owners it will build goodwill. Unfortunately I don't think anyone is going to digitize all the blueprints from the past 40 years. If it were in their interest this would have already been done, I'm sure they have more pressing business to attend to. So it falls upon our shoulders. All models of Bluebird have the same or similar systems and equipment. Most of the differences come into play on interior layout and how they made it all fit together. The most important documents you can lay hands on would be a set of blue prints from Bluebird for your specific coach. The second best would be prints for your model coach. Most of the equipment inf. on your coach can be found at that particular Mfg.'s web site, that will fill in those gaps. It will take someone who wants to jump through the hoops. The first step is to ask online if anyone has a set of blueprints. If you find them they'll have to get them scanned at Fed-ex Kinkos or the like and put on a disk, If you do it yourself they only charge for burning the disk, if they scan them it could cost 200 to 300 $'s. Then you can disseminate that inf. to those who want it. Another alternative is to request them from Bluebird. If they have them they will sell them to you. In our case I asked for a set of blueprints and they were unavailable. They were lost destroyed I can't remember the specifics but I couldn't get them from the Mfg. So I suggest that you ask online for someone with the prints for the model your interested in. If we get lucky and enough people get involved between the three web sites WF,WOG,WOO we could document all models for future reference. Now that would be special.
