Generator Problems
filter or strainer could be clogged and fuel delivery to the i pump is
slow causing it to suck air almost anyplace. when I replace a filter I fill it up with 50/50 diesel and atf fluid then coat the gasket with grease prior to refitting. if the electric pump is set to push harder than necessary, the fittings and hoses wont suck air and you will have visible clues to delivery leaks. if you top off the fuel tank and there is no one hour dyeout, it would point to a pinhole in the lift tube. I have used plastic airline on equipment to make temporary repairs to the rubber fuel lines on jobsites. one temporary repair now has over 1,000 hours on the plastic airline.
