Transmission part number
Gardner:
Just a comment on Trannys....When my 80FC31 tranny blew.... the "plate" was already broken for the third time....turns out tranny had the wrong SPRINGS in it from th BB factory long ago...... the tranny was shifting at 2800rpm causing a lot of stress on the plate...when it blew..they ordered the same tranny number and at first I had the same problem until I had them change the springs so it shifted at 2300 rpm...it is OK now.....But the SPRINGS were the problem..STRIKER PLATE CRAKED THREE TIMES...... regards, Hank 90SP36 --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Gardner Yeaw" wrote: > > Since my coach had a 250 turbo installed later on, and I believe the > original was an NA, the current transmission is likley the wrong one > for the engine.
