A newbie's DD questions

71 series blowers are gear driven from the front. Also the governor
is driven off the back of the blower / supercharger on the inline
units (not sure on the v's). There are many non-turbocharged
Detroit 2-strokes in Fire truck, marine, and industrial
applications. I've currently got 5 detroits of various sizes and
only 1 is turbocharged (4-53T).
