GPS 4.3" Widescreen

I got the latest available maps from Magellan in June of this year.
That's when I discovered that I'll never do business with Magellan
ever again. I figure I'll find a new unit (from another mfg.) for
just a little more than the $80+tax+shipping I paid for the map update.

I note, too, that even the most current maps can't possibly be as up-
to-date as the highway builders. I've received some spurious
directions (from the GPS) while driving on obviously new pavement.
I've learned to read the signs, and trust the GPS if all agree. (And,
to be honest, almost all the time, they signs and GPS do match up
pretty well.)

Every so often, I can't every quite figure out what's going on with
the GPS. Today, in the middle of the Arizona desert, while on a 200+
mile leg in I-40, the GPS suddenly said: "recalculating route. Make a
legal U-turn." I turned off the speaker. 30 seconds later, the
display showed another recalculation, and the expected route returned
to the screen. I can only guess that some corrupted data was received
from a satellite that caused the GPS to go bonkers for about 60 seconds.
