Getting Hard Water Scale in Plumbing, What To Do?
Hi Jack,
We fulltime also and use a water softner by Flow Pure. When we first got it 3 years ago, after using it for about 2 weeks, I noticed that when I flushed, white chunks started coming out of the toilet head. Turns out to be hard water chunks. Problem solved for us. When we first check in somewhere, I test the water with test strips and if hard enough, I put on the water softner. Cost was $290, but recharging it with cheap salt (33 cents) every 800 gallons or so (depending on how hard the water is), is a cheap solution.
