Now that you've seen a great coach you should be able to see any
glairing problems in the coach you mentioned.

I think of the price of coaches today and it gives me the same
feeling I get when I fill up the coach 238 gallons cost $
540.26 6 months ago 234 gallons cost $957.00

I wish I was looking for a new coach. The grass is always greener.

The starting price in my opinion is not bad for a '88 PT-38 my second
favorite BB.

It will run circles around 99.999% of any coach you should choose to
run with or from. L.O.L.

The PT 38 is the Corvette of the BB's

They are shorter, more power per pound. I think they would be easier
to drive on softer surfaces, I do that
a lot .My get slightly better MPG

Mileage stated is low, that's not Great .It only averaged 3898 miles
per year. That coach has sat still a lot, which in my opinion is the
worst thing you could do to a Bird.

Take one of the check lists posted on the forms and use it , for no
other reason than to keep track of what you have looked at and to
cross reference any problems you find that may relate to something
else you find questionable. Good score card, set a goal of what is
acceptable to you and stick with it.

One example it may have great looking tires on it. Check the Mfg. DOT
date if they are older than 5 years old you'll start replacing tires
the day you buy it. I can hear screaming now! I wouldn't drive her
down the road with 5 year old Steer Tires. So that's 2 new tires just
to get her home. Use the check list ask questions her, there,
everywhere

Drive it, feel it, smell it, listen to it, leave your heart at home,
trust me a better deal is just a purchased coach away, Most FC's are
priced around this area for the same vintage and may be better
coach's mechanicly. I was close to several other coaches before I
bought mine. So buy a coach with your head not your heart.

My goal was to find the most coach I could afford with the thought
that I will have her for a long time. So some things I gave in to, to
have other more desirable equipment. It costs the same to upgrade a
newer coach or an older coach, so make sure your happy with the
coach.

You'll need a good shop I would give her what Prevost calls Level 3
Service. That covers just about any service the coach would need.
Usless this has been done recently

Be prepared to start working on her from day one, that's par for the
course with any 21 year old Bird. But that's half the fun knowing it
you that's making it happen

Make an offer, start lower than you would pay, horse trade you may be
pleasantly surprised and you may not need a partner/owner
