I'd be sure to not get just the axle weight, but the weight at each wheel. Depending on the layout, some of the coaches are much heavier on one side or the other, so the tire loading may be a problem when the axle loading is not. However, there is some dynamic with the air bags that cause unreliable single wheel weights, making side to side variations appear then disappear.... <sigh>
Anyway, after going through the process of weighing my coach axle by axle with individual wheel scales, I decided to raise the air pressure in the drive axle tires (from the factory recommendation) due to the 'apparent' side to side loading difference (with one side having 2000 lbs higher wheel load) -- but weighing the coach a second time (a short time later, but after having driven the coach) gives different results..... So I'm not sure what's reality and what's perception.

Thanks David,
I guess my first step is to get my actual axle weights. Should let me
know what I need. I am in Orlando at present and met Gary Minker. He
stopped by our campsite and by chance he also has a 1985 PT40. He has
had His Wanderlodge for 12 years and was very helpful in helping a
newbie understand some of the PT40's in's and out's. Thanks again David.
