Information on Walmart six volt batterys
For myself, I am using the Walmart best grade 12 volt batteries with the 3 year free replacement warranty.

My 77FC35, at least in the configuration it came to me, just has one set of batteries (other than the generator battery).

The set of batteries at the front left corner shares all jobs, starting and house.

It looks like there were originally four small six volt batteries in that compartment, three in a row and one behind, but when I bought the unit it came with two 12 volt batteries in parallel.

Since the batteries have to do the starting job as well as house, I'm using starting batteries, and they've been doing ok.

I seem to be able to run heater fans overnight and still have enough juice to crank the engine in the morning.

I was having problems with the original chargers killing the batteries when left plugged in, but now that I replaced them with a Xantrex 2500 watt inverter/charger, they keep real nice and I haven't had any trouble since.

I have run the microwave for up to 30 seconds on battery-->inverter without the engine running and no obvious issues, probably because they're starter batteries and can take the instantaneous load.

My generator is in pretty rough shape, and I'm planning to replace it with a smaller generator and use some of the weight/space for a big set of house batteries, since that compartment is very close (directly across from) the compartment with the inverter.
