Official, Wanderlodge is closed

Hi Folks,

Here is just one more thought regarding Wanderlodge closing..

Our forum is made of very practical and intelligent people. As a
community we may not be too far above the average income spectrum but
we rinse, reuse and remake items that the average bear would otherwise
repurchase. We cherish and uphold the quality of our possessions. We
take pride in ownership and it is reflected clearly in our forum and
our birds. If we remove the blur of economic problems our Country is
having right now, the picture of Wanderlodge as a brand becomes a
little different.

Perhaps ultimately, the future of Wanderlodge was hindered by the
success of Wanderlodge’s past. The company has [with few exceptions]
a 56 year history of high quality coaches that last or are perceived
to last a lifetime. Regardless of our economic or socioeconomic
standing, history like this makes it hard for most practical people to
justify the purchase of a new bird of the same lasting quality.

Does anyone have any thoughts?
