Everyone, including Greg, talks about parts being available from other
sources. This is not true. Of course all the chassis, engine and tranny
components are easily had. Try getting any of the following: Grills,
bumpers ( although Stepehen does have some), side mouldings, pleated
ceiling material and the plastic joint strips,interior moldings
interior doors, throttle cables for a silver edition, turn signal
switches and more. Some of the windshields have been discontinued by
the Bus division and are available at over $500 not $200 ( again
Stephen is doing a great job at sourcing these). Ours is a simple unit
compared to say an LXI and I bet those owners would have a huge list of
unavailable parts. Some components were custom made for BB and they
could be had if you want to buy 300 pieces! My side mouldings are a
good example. BB gave me the name of the mfr. They destroyed the molds
but would do a run of many thousands of feet ! Some items are available
but will have to be custom made: rads and air to air coolers are a
good example.
