Towing

A long ways. In fact, a complete drain and replacement of
diff/axle lube requires that the axle be tilted to allow oil to
flow into each wheel bearing. IOW's there's a pool of oil
in each wheel bearing that's completely sufficient for wheel
bearing lubrication.

If you pull the rear axles, the rear end gears are not turning so there

would be no rear end grease pumped to the rear wheel bearings, anyone

know how far you could then tow the Bird before the bearings run dry

and burn up?
