Towing
Greg: If you have a rear end failure, removing the drive shaft will do
no good as the axles will still turn the ring & pinion and any broken parts will still be grinding up inside the rear end. As to tilting the rear axle side to side after a drain or work on wheel bearings I have been told that is to get oil to the bearings so they will not be dry for the first few miles after the work. |
