Tail light change
I replaced the galvanized conductorboards (steve could you check the spelling on
that) behind the Lenz. aftermarket- $under 40 each. volvo +70 each and there was
not a difference. my dim lights were a result of poor connections in the
conductorboard and wires from the dash.

200% improvement came when I washed the inside of the lenz. Volvo has access to
the lenz in a weather protected trunk but the bus uses a poor sealing molded
plastic cover for the task. I soaked the removed lenz in mild laundry soap and a
bit of simple green. used pipcleaner to scrub the interior. I then polished the
outside of the lenz with a rag and some clearcoat scratch remover. Chances are
that if it looks dull on the outside it is some old wax or floorwax (underhanded
dealers use floorwax for a deep hide all showroom shine) . I would try floorwax
remover or laundrysoap prior to polishing. often the grit in the polish gums up
the bad wax and folks think they ruined the finish .

Wanderlodge uses a Volvo 740 (89-92? tail light).

lens separate from the bulb holder?

and connectors out and swap the tail light body?
